Where what you type goes
No analytics, no tracking cookie, no third-party script. What you type stays in this page until you pick a route to send it, and the four routes do not go to the same place. Send posts those fields to this site's host, which stores them together with the network address they came from and forwards them to us. Gmail and Outlook open a prefilled compose window at Google or Microsoft — the draft reaches them the moment you click, before you send anything. Your own mail app and Copy the draft do not pass through this site; where a draft ends up after that depends on your mail app's own settings, such as whether it syncs to a cloud account. Requests are recorded in the host's standard server logs, and an invitation link may carry a short code so we can tell one invitation from another.
04Documents
What happens to a real document
There is no file upload anywhere on this site, and the workbench runs only on synthetic cases we wrote ourselves. The fit-check form has one free-text field, for the commitment window you would bring — do not paste document text into it; a sentence naming the decision point is enough.
From October 2026, a client's case is opened only after the person who holds the documents authorises that case in writing. The authorisation names who may see the material, where it is kept, until what date, and who confirms that it has been deleted.
By default a case is processed on our own machine and nothing leaves it. No part of Closure calls an AI model. If a case were ever to use an outside model or OCR service, the authorisation would have to name the provider, what is sent and how long they keep it, and the document holder would have to agree to that separately.
We do not train models on anyone's documents. On this site, a real case never becomes a demo, test data or an example.
Where AI might help, for instance in reading a figure off a page, what it produces is recorded as unconfirmed. Only a person can confirm it.

If we contacted you
If Max Lin wrote to you by email or on LinkedIn, the sender is Xylex Digital Technology Co., Ltd., company no. 62211992, registered at 10F-5, No. 6, Sec. 2, Daxing W. Rd., Taoyuan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Write to max@pactbeam.com about anything below.
What we hold about you: your name, role and firm, the business contact details you or your firm published, and the messages we have exchanged. We took them from your firm's website, your LinkedIn profile or a public company register such as UK Companies House, and our record notes which.
Why we wrote: to ask you a professional question, or to ask whether you would take a paid consultation. We rely on our legitimate interest in learning how construction-payment work is actually done, and we only write to people whose published role matches the question.
Who else handles it: messages pass through our email provider and LinkedIn. Our working notes are kept in a private repository, and we use AI assistants, Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's Codex, to help draft messages and keep those notes. We do not sell your details or add you to a mailing list.
How long we keep it: up to 12 months after our last exchange, then we delete it. If you ask us to stop, we stop, and keep only your name, firm and the date you asked, so that we do not write to you again by mistake.
Your rights: write to max@pactbeam.com to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to being contacted. If you are unhappy with how we handled your details, you can complain to the data protection authority where you are; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
